Maconde located on the south coast of Mauritius, Baie Du Cape is a small picturesque village. The south is known for its natural beauty and its wild, rugged beaches of Mauritius.
The Maconde viewpoint is part of one of the most scenic tours of Mauritius. It`s believed that the name Maconde originates from the time of slavery, where fugitive slaves from the Makonde tribe of Mozambique came to seek refuge.

We will then head to Gris-Gris Beach. While most of Mauritius Island is surrounded by coral reefs, giving us the calm lagoon. The island is famous for, the southern part where there is a break in the reef.
At Gris-Gris, you will be able to admire the rugged scenery of big, powerful waves crashing on the stunning cliffs.
A few metres away, you will see La Roche qui Pleure, a natural rock formation that resemble a person crying when the waves hit it.
